They draw it out of the abundant blessings encompassing the whole world of existence. The word 'ar-Rahim' The Merciful refers to that Specific Mercy that is endowed upon the believing, obedient servants alone. The believers, because of their true belief, good actions, and faithful active obedience, deserve this special, exclusive mercy, of which the disbelievers are deprived.

The particular fact ratifying this topic is that the word Rahman is always used in the Qur'an with the meaning of an infinite form of mercy, which is a sign of its generality, while the word Rahim is sometimes used with the meaning of a finite form, which is a sign of surah al fatihahspecificity such as: And it is sometimes surah al fatihah in surah al fatihah infinite form such as in Surah Al-Fatihah.

A narration from Imam al-Sadiq as says: It is interesting to note that this power, which has a broad concept, much the same as gravitational pull, and has the ability to draw hearts closer together, is the very Attribute of Mercy.

This Attribute of Mercy is the very means by which men can attain a close relationship with the Creator, also. Human beings should attach importance to mercy and affection and behave accordingly in their daily lives and use violence and harshness only for those times when it is clearly warranted.

We conclude this discussion with a tradition, rich in meaning, from the holy Prophet Swho, when commenting on the many different kinds of His All-Encompassing Mercy, said: All the mercy and affection they have, issue from it.

Surah Al-Fatiha - 1. BISMIL LAAHIR RAHMAANIR RAHEEM. In the name of GOD,

He, the Merciful, withheld the other 99 for Himself to show mercy upon His servants on the Day of Resurrection. That is, sura Al-Fatiha is paired with rest of the whole Quran. The former view is more widely accepted, although some believe that it was revealed in both Mekka and Medina.

The phrase "the Path journeyed by those upon whom You showered blessings" is usually seen as referring to Muslims. That devout Muslims are daily declaring before Allah that Christians have gone astray and Jews are objects of divine wrath, must be considered a matter of central importance for interfaith relations.

This is all the more so because the interpretation of verse 7 which relates it to Christians and Jews is surah al fatihah based upon the words surah al fatihah Muhammad himself.

As Al-Fatihah is the daily worship of Muslims, and represents the very essence of Islam itself, the meaning of these words cannot be ignored or glossed over. Indeed Malik was of the opinion that one does not recite it at all, depending upon the surah al fatihah sense of the following hadith and its likes: That one recites it loudly as it is a part of Al-Fatihah and therefore it should be recited in the same way as the rest of the Surah.

This is the view of a group of the Sahabah, and a number of the scholars after them, from amongst them Ash-Shafi'i. Al-Hakim reports from Ibn Abbas may Allah be pleased with him that: Ad-Darqutni said that it has surah al fatihah sahih isnad and it is in Surah al fatihah Abu Dawud no.

That it is not to be recited loudly. This is reported from the Prophet sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam by Bukhari and Muslim, it is the view of a number of the Sahabah, and it is established from the Four Caliphs. surah al fatihah

It is also the view of a group of the scholars after them from amongst them Abu Hanifah, Ath-Thawri and Ahmad. So this is a summary of the views of the scholars with regards it recitation and they are all close to each other, and all praise is due to Allah, for they are agreed that surah al fatihah prayer of the surah al fatihah who recites loudly or silently is valid.

Surah Al-Fatiha

It also carries the meaning of rida, or pleasure and is the opposite of dhamm, or blame. Its meaning is more general and inclusive than that of shukr, or giving thanks, because it encompasses surah al fatihah as well as giving the meaning of praise.

Similarly shukr is only expressed as a response to a favour whereas hamd is expressed both as a response to a favour as well as a spontaneous action of dhikr. It is surah al fatihah this respect that Ibn Abbas may Allah be pleased with him said, "Alhamdulillah is the statement of every thankful [servant].

surah al fatihah Allah commanded Nuh 'alayhis-salam saying: All praises and thanks are due to Allah Who saved us from an oppressive people. All praises and thanks are due to Allah Who has not begotten a son … " [Al-Qur'an
